Ready to Rock-n-Roll Japanese Festival style? The Sanjya Matsuri is a high octane event that hundreds of thousands of spectators show up for. Tough guys, girls and kids jump around and "jolt" the portable shrines (Mikoshi) they carry. Why "Jolt" them? Well... because the mor "action" they put in to the shrine, the more intense becomes the power of the deity mounted apon it! Groups of Mikoshi troupes carry the shrines around town just whipping it up and having a great time. It is said this festival is one of the 3 biggest that Tokyo holds so jump in and have a great time!
