My favorite Japanese Foods

When visiting Japan, all I wanted to place my hands on was Sushi. As I kept exploring the place, I came to taste some really amazing dishing which made me lick my fingers… so Japan is not all about sushi, it has many more flavors for you! Food is the actually reflection of everywhere and when a person goes out on vacations, he or she really looks forward to dining out and just enjoy; you can certainly do all of this at Japan. Japanese food is never going to leave you frustrated. Once your stomach is filled with some delicious Japanese food, you will love the place even more.  Of course Japan has beautiful temples, kind people and dreamy landscapes but it also has some of the wolds best food! Coming back to the yum food (my stomach is growling now, just by thinking about the lovely dishes), I’ll be sharing my top 5 favorite Japanese foods… which I love! Obviously everyone knows, which dish is going to take first place…

1. Sushi:

For people who don’t know what sushi is; it is raw fish served with rice which is seasoned with vinegar slightly. The mixture of flavors is amazing and they feel like heaven, while melting in the mouth; tangy, juicy, plump and creamy, it’s a one in all dish! You can’t get Sushi like this anywhere else in the entire world.

2. Tempura:

Coming to deep fried foods, I adore them heavily and tempura like in japan, leave you speechless! Deep fried food is heavy and all but the tempura I tasted there was light as ever and fluffy as well. The tempura prawns are a pleasure for the mouth and your stomach to have. Moreover, they serve this along with something which makes it even more fulfilling.

3. Soba:

This is something worth it, worth your money and will certainly have you going back for it again and again…since I had it at least thrice or maybe more, while I was there. They are thin, buckwheat noodles which left me wanting for more. Seriously the food of Japan can really make you go “hungry all the time”, since it isn’t heavy at all. You can have soba along with various things like, a broth seasoned or flavored with soy sauce and some sideways dipping are also included.

4. Tonkatsu:

This is a deep fired and breaded cutlet of pork and was invented back in the 19th century. Japan invented this dish by being influenced from the Western side and a little hint of European flavor is found in the dish. Apart from this little info chat, I completely adore this dish. It is really tender and melts in your mouth with all the deliciousness it carries. Along with this, I was served with miso soup and shredded cabbage (displayed in a form of mountain).

5. Okonomiyaki:

Okay! So this is a very comfortable to be with dish and one of the best foods that I grabbed in Japan. It is basically a grilled dish and it is grilled according to how much you want it to be. This pancake is packed with various flavors and things, which combine in your mouth and leave you wanting for more. It is topped up with a variety of things which makes the presentation outstanding as well.
