Already running for more than a couple of decades, The Room is a night club in a well-kept spot within the Shibuya district. Thus, it is particularly not so easy to find. It has a small space that could fit about a hundred people that fosters a cozy intimate ambiance conducive for friendly interaction. The venue is split into a concrete-walled bar and an dimly lit dance floor.
The Room is well-known for being a haven for musically creative individuals with its concept of "tamariba" (Creative Gathering Place). The kind of music played is mostly house jazz, crossover or breakbeats. Popular and top DJs just coming to play and experiment with their sets are main crowd draws. In addition, renowned local musicians play live sessions during weekdays.
The bar is staffed by friendly personnel who offers a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
In the end, The Room does not even try to pose itself as a stylish, high-end entertainment spot but just simply as a down-to-earth place where people who appreciate creative arts can experience great club music and dancing.

Leave by the South exit and turn left. Go straight over the walkway overpass and at the bottom of the steps you'll see a small crossing what you need to pass. On your right side you will see "Family Mart" convenience store, but turn left in the opposite direction and walk until you come to a small intersection (about 3minutes by walk). The Room is across the road in the basement of the corner building, underneath the restaurant 'Sukiya'. The stairs for the basement are outside. Look for a red lantern.
